Our Story
We are a team of climbers based in Christchurch, New Zealand. We build climbing walls and produce climbing holds inspired by the natural beauty of our country.
Climb Craft is the evolution of 15 years of delivering exceptional experiences for climbers through designing and manufacturing climbing walls and holds here in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Until 2023, we traded under the name Uprising Industries. Now we have entered a new chapter, and with it a new name: Climb Craft. We continue to experiment and grow in the climbing industry, pushing the boundaries of hold and wall design with a hands-on approach.
We continue to improve our offering and grow climbing to be a “handhold” in every community—creating a place for people to connect through the sport that we all love, with a clear goal to connect them with the incredible sport of climbing.
We are climbers of 20+ years ourselves, and have been part of the evolution of indoor climbing culture in New Zealand. We’ve spent our lives in climbing gyms here in New Zealand and around the world.
We design and manufacture a wide range of climbing holds, volumes and macros.
NZ-made climbing holds are available under the Select brand.
Our range of premium Climb Craft holds and volumes are available alongside other international holds brands – all available to purchase on this site.
Our holds are all shipped from our warehouse in Christchurch, NZ.

Select holds are all proudly designed and hand-made right here in our factory in Christchurch, New Zealand.
Many of the shapes you know and love from the Uprising range are still available under the Select brand.
We’re also continually innovating and modernising the range with new shapes.
Select holds – made from our proprietary polyurethane – are ideally suited to home climbing wall use.
Climb Craft
The Climb Craft brand represents our premium range of climbing holds, designed in NZ and produced by our European manufacturing partner Composite X. Many of the shapes from the Uprising range are also still available in the Climb Craft range.
Climb Craft holds are made from Dannomond
polyurethane, widely recognised as the world’s leading climbing
hold material. These holds are lighter, stronger, and feature
superior wear and impact resistance, making them ideal for use in commercial environments.
